RSL Markets - Roma

While staying in Roma, Queensland we discovered that the RSL markets were being held on the weekend - they are held the first Sunday of every month. It was only a short walk from our caravan - along McDowall Street and then onto Quintin Road (Carnarvon Highway) to the RSL Hall.

These were very interesting country markets, full of homemade products – cakes, jams, crafts, photo cards, knitted good etc. as well as live chickens, eggs and locally grown veges. 

Stalls at the markets were selling breakfast and morning tea and these were very generous in size at great prices. We met some lovely stall holders and had interesting conversations about the local area. I really enjoy country markets - genuine people and home made goodies.
