The Commonwealth Hotel on the corner of Wyndham Street and the Warrego Highway is a large hotel with a popular sports bar. We visited twice during our stay in Roma as we found it welcoming with a large range of beers on tap - we counted 12 varieties including Tooheys (important when you are from NSW).
It was a good walk from our caravan at the Big Rig Tourist Park but worth the effort. During both visits the sports bar was busy with people having dinner - a variety of food is available at reasonable prices. A number of television screens around the room displaying a variety of sports matches.
Of course if you want a quieter meal then they have a restaurant out the back call Bistro 75.
A beer garden sits alongside the pub with umbrellas for shade during the day and there is a Liquor Legends Drive Thru bottle shop located right next door.
