After a walk through The Tathra Memorial Gardens and watching whales off the coast, we headed down the pathway toward the historical Tathra Wharf. This is the only wharf of its kind left in NSW - not only a popular fishing spot but houses the Tathra Wharf Museum and a funky café called 'The Wharf Locavore'.
This cafe has a wonderful a range of really interesting food (with gluten free options) and showcases a gallery featuring the work of local artisans - ceramics, textile, jewellery, print, photography and paintings. Some great gifts.
The cafe serves ONA coffee overlooking the waters of Boulder Bay – great views. We did not have enough cash on us to stay for lunch but instead purchased some locally made Sourdough bread – made by Honorbread in Burmagui. Delicious
The meals and range of salads look amazing and we look forward to visiting again soon to enjoy the great, friendly atmosphere of The Wharf Locavore
