Tathra Memorial Gardens can be found on the headland overlooking the ocean, Tathra Beach and the historic Tathra Wharf. These gardens feature plaque set among the plants along the walking tracks with dedicated to local citizens who have past away.
The walking track around the Memorial Gardens is relatively easy and only about 300 metres in length. Along the way are a couple of viewing platforms to take a rest and enjoy views across the bay. These are great vantage point for whale watching, and during our visit we saw several out to sea breaching and/or coming up for air. I never tire of seeing these beautiful creatures.
Tathra Memorial Gardens can be access via Bega Street or by walking up the stairs form Wharf Road.
