When visiting Tathra on the South Coast of NSW we expected to see a a range of surfing or paddle boarding outlets, but little did we know that this region has a huge range of mountain bike tracks. Therefore the outlet called Tathra Beach and Bike makes sense offering sporting equipment to suite all enthusiasts.
It can be found on the main road and just across from Tathra Beach - the perfect spot for surfing, body boarding and stand up paddle boarding. They hire and sell boards so you can give one or all of the water-sports a go while holidaying in this perfect location. You can even try before you buy.
The staff at the shop can give you heaps of advice on the Mountain Bike Riding Trials and they sell maps of the trails printed on cloth. Apparently this eliminates the wear and tear of paper maps while carrying them in your pocket - riding and negotiating your way around the countless mountain tracks. The trails are suitable for all levels and they say "The faster you ride, the more challenging these trails become".
Tathra Beach and Bile also hire mountain bikes, sell equipment and undertake repairs. On top of all this we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.
