Commodore Reserve is located on the shores of Horseshoe Bay in Port Elliot, South Australia. This is a lovely place for lunch as there are lovely grassed areas, picnic tables, barbeques, playgrounds and public toilet facilities. The Surf Life Saving Club is located at one end and the Bowling Club has an artificial green located next to the car parking area. The Flying Fish Restaurant and Cafe is located within the reserve and they sell great seafood meals and takeaway - highly recommended.
There are a number of paths leading from the reserve to the beach which is very popular for swimming with a pontoon located just off shore. We walked through the reserve on several occasion from the Port Elliot Holiday Park and there were always plenty of people around enjoying the facilities.
