Jugiong is a small community between Gundagai and Yass in NSW - a short distance from the Hume Highway. We called in to buy some fresh fruit and vegetables and have a cup of coffee from the Long Track Pantry. Across the road from this popular cafe is a free camping area.
This is a lovely looking spot to spend some time with lots of grass, shady trees and plenty of space. There were some water taps scattered around the area and a dump point near the entrance. The local park is next door with picnic tables and public toilets for campers to use. It is also located beside a tennis court and the local swimming pool A box beside the toilet block is set up with a sign asking for donations from caravanners and campers to help with the upkeep of the park and surrounding area.
RvTrips were very impressed with this great facility in Jugiong and hope that those using the area make a contribution to help the small community. We look forward to going back to spend a few nights on our next caravan adventure.
