What a lovely little town on the coast of West Australia about 57 kilometres north of Karratha. We had been advised to base ourselves at Point Samson and were very glad we did. The Cove Holiday Village neat and tidy caravan park with slabs for van and car as well as large clean amenities - no keys required. Check out the size of the steel beams in the amenities block - enough to withstand the next big storm.
There some interesting walks from the caravan park with amazing rock formations along the coastline - we saw a number of people snorkelling close to the shore. Honeymoon Cove has a beautiful sandy beach which is protected by fringing coral reefs. This is a very good fishing area and we were lucky enough to be given fresh squid and fish by one of our neighbours - delicious.
Point Samson has a range of accommodation and a lovely Tavern - Samson Beach Tavern overlooking the water - good food.
The RvTrips team recommend Point Samson as a great place to stay - not far from Karratha, Dampier, Cossack or Roebourne.
