Woomera Heritage Museum

The Woomera Heritage Museum can be found on Dewrang Avenue and is located within the same building as the Woomera Heritage and Visitor Centre. A fee of $6 is charged to look through the Museum and I would highly recommend this as an interesting way to find out about the rocket and satellite launching history of Woomera.

The displays and information boards explain the collaboration with many different nations over the years and short videos explain the successes and failures of rocket launching during the history of this important area of Australia.

Some of the signs were a little difficult to read but overall a very interesting place to visit. It is open 7 days a week from 9 am to 5 pm and there is a cafe located on the premises for a coffee or lunchtime meal.
