During our cycling adventure around Renmark we happened upon the Pieman’s Kitchen, a bakery next to Mitre 10 and across the road from the Renmark Plaza. This busy bakery is on Industry Road which runs parallel to Renmark Avenue and was well worth the visit.
We arrived late and it was almost closing time but the lovely staff were willing to get the salad out of the fridge to make us a really wonderful salad roll. They only had one bread roll left so we shared that and a quiche for lunch. Both were delicious. We ate at the tables in the shade at the front of the shop and returned the following day to purchase some bread rolls for our trip. They have a range of baked goods and make their own version of the wagon wheel. Yum, these were purchased for Christmas.
I have since found out that Piemans kitchen is very popular with the locals (not surprising) and I would not hesitate to recommend it to fellow travellers.
