Renmark is a lovely place to visit just over the border from Victoria in South Australia - check quarantine information as there are many restrictions on fresh fruit and vegetables - please help protect the local produce by not introducing pests into the area.
We stayed at the Big 4 Renmark Riverfront Holiday Park which is located on the banks of the Murray River. This is a huge park with great facilities and has direct access to the water - very popular for holiday makers during summer. They have a range of accommodation and the park features a water park, outdoor pool, spa, arcade and games room. The amenities are very clean and they will help with any tour bookings in the area. The Visitor Information Centre was staffed by volunteers who have lived in the area for a long time and are happy to help with tour bookings. A fabulous thing to do in Renmark is to take a cruise along the Murray River or maybe even hire a houseboat and spend a couple of days on the water. This is a lovely country town with some very interesting cafes, restaurants, and art galleries as well as a variety of shops selling the beautiful local produce - e.g wine, citrus fruit, nuts etc.
We enjoyed walking around the town and cannot wait to visit again to explore the area further.
