Point Annie Lookout is a quiet spot at the bottom of the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. After a day exploring Innes National Park we decided to head back to Point Turton via Marion Bay Road and Corny Point lighthouse.
A short detour off the main road along Point Annie Road will take you through fields of wheat and/or barley towards the coast for great views from the cliffs at Point Annie. We then made our way along the coast to Point Corny - even stopping for a refreshing drink at the Howling Dog Tavern. There are several areas of dirt road but this is well maintained and easy travelling.
We found it quite amazing looking at the scenery and seeing fields of wheat and/or barley on one side of the road and ocean on the other. You don't see crops this close to the coastline in NSW.
