Injune Visitor Information Centre

Injune Visitor Information Centre can be found in the centre of this small town and is housed in a very new building - located on the Carnarvon Highway (Hutton Street). This log-syle building adjoins a lovely park area with a shaded children's playground. The amenities block is to the rear of the park and I had to laugh at the sign on the back of the Ladies Toilet Door - “Please place sanitary napkins in the bins provided and not in the toilet – signed your friendly toilet unblocker”.  

The Visitor Information Centre is manned by volunteer staff and we had a lovely chat with the ladies on duty. This Centre sells local craft work and had some great handmade jewellery (didn't take me long to find a piece to purchase as a present). Injune is surrounded by National Parks - Nuga Nuga, Carnarvon, Lonesome, Mt Moffat  and Bielba - which makes it a convenient base to explore this amazing landscape.

You will find a great coffee shop (Cafe on Second) next to the Visitor Information Centre and a small supermarket across the road.
