We were quite surprised to find the beautiful building that houses Cafe on Second in the small country town of Injune, Queensland. It is located on the corner of the Warrego Highway and (of course) Second Avenue. We stopped here for coffee on our travels between Roma and Emerald. The Injune Visitor Information Centre is housed in same building and there is plenty of parking close by for the caravan.
Cafe on Second was extremely busy and we sat on the verandah and enjoyed a great cup of coffee for morning tea. The bacon and egg rolls looked very tempting and the meal servings were quite large - I should not have had breakfast before heading off for the day. Friendly country service and very helpful staff made this an enjoyable stop. I will definitely call into Cafe on Second again during my next trip through Queensland.
