While travelling in outback Australia we have found a few of these self-serve fuel outlets. This one in Julia Creek is on the western side of town along the Flinders Highway - Note the road had lots of dips and plenty of roadwork.
The fuel at the IOR self service fuel outlet was cheaper than the service station in town and is accessible 24 hours a day. Be warned to hang up the nozzle before pressing for a receipt.
They are very convenient and used by large road trains so make sure you leave them plenty of room.
