Court House Hotel - Charters Towers

Irish Molly’s Court House Hotel is on the main shopping street of Charters Towers - Gill Street. This apparently is the last all timber, two storey hotel to be continually licensed to sell liquor in Charters Towers. The Courthouse Hotel provides live music on Friday night and dinner specials - like reef and beef or marinated pork ribs. Meals are available every day for lunch and dinner and they even serve good coffee in the decorated ally-way along the side of the Pub. The coffee is served though a window opening so you don't need to go into the bar area.

I was quite impressed by the timber tables and bar top - large slabs of polished wood. We found the service to be friendly and welcoming and enjoyed a beer after an exhausting day of sight-seeing. We also had no trouble finding a park outside the hotel in the late afternoon.
