Whitsunday Sailing Club is a great place to eat with a bistro open seven day a week -lunch is available from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and dinner from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. There are lunch specials for around $10, or you can select from the regular menu. This Club is located on the point at Airlie Beach and, of course has an absolute water front position.
We stopped in for lunch one day while cycling around Airlie Beach and had a wonderful meal. We enjoyed a Tapas style lunch sharing crocodile skewers, salt and pepper calamari and filo pasty containing lamb with sweet potato - absolutely delicious and it even came with a free beer each. The covered balcony was a great spot to sit and relax, enjoying our beautiful food while watch the activities on the water.
The Whitsunday Sailing Club is home to a busy racing calendar - and you can join the crew on one of the yachts by placing your name on the "Crew Available" list on their website.
