Alice Springs Markets

Alice Springs' Markets are held Sunday mornings in the Todd Mall from February to December.  I love markets to see local products and home made goodies - I must say I was really pleased to visit these markets and see some of the beautiful Aboriginal paintings and artworks on display.

There were a huge number of stalls lining the Mall and we slowly made our way from one end to the other purchasing some homemade jewellery and, of course, a Fireman's calendar - we have to support these great members of the community. My jewellery came from Tanami Tim - a local man who crafts very interesting silver bracelets and earrings. He is a funny, friendly bloke who was lovely to deal with.

This is a very nice way to spend the morning in Alice Springs and the markets are open from 9 am - close at varying times depending on the time of year.
