Nambucca Heads Island Golf Course

You guessed it - the Nambucca Heads Island Golf Club –  has been established on an island in the river. Stuarts Island sits in the Nambucca River and is a beautiful spot for this 18 hole golf course. A small single lane bridge connects the golf course to Riverside Drive past parkland on the banks of Nambucca River.

We drove out to take a look - the course looks to be in very good condition with lovely greens. A large deck sits at the back of the Golf Club overlooking the water and a perfect spot to enjoy our pre-dinner drink.  

The golf course is full of bird life and apparently it is quite common to see dolphins cruising up the river. The location is quite unique and they say "you're bound to enjoy your round of golf no matter how you've actually played on the day".

The Nambucca Heads Golf Club serves a range of meals and can cater for parties, weddings and a variety of functions. 

Head out and have a look, play some golf (or squash in nearby courts) before enjoying that drink and/or meal in this very relaxing spot.
