Hoochery Distillery - Kununurra

The Hoochery Distillery is home of the famous Ord River Rum and can be found on Weaber Plains Road a few kilometres out of Kununurra. They run tours daily or just head out for a taste - open all year round. I have visited the Hoochery a couple of times to purchase some Ord River Rum for my son - during our last visit I found out that you can also purchase online - very convenient as it is his favourite. I also really like their Mango Liqueur and I recommend you try the famous Ord River Rum Cake while you are visiting the Hoochery. The tasting paddle was $5 for 3 samples - my husband also tried the Whiskey which is only made when they are harvesting the corn (Luckily I was driving that day).  

The Hoochery is open for lunch and there is plenty of parking out the front. We found the staff helpful and friendly - explaining the many features of each different drink. You should visit and support this Australian owned and made product which is distilled and bottled in Kununurra.
