Dongara Bakery

Dongara Bakery is highly recommended by the RvTrips team as a great country baker to visit for breakfast, morning tea or lunch. Fellow travellers had suggested that we MUST call at the Dongara Bakery for a pie while staying in Dongara-Port Denison. We stopped by for morning tea - sausage roll was great and the vegetable pastie (the biggest I have ever eaten) was absolutely delicious. We also purchased a hedgehog slice for coffee later in the day, and a chicken and vegetable plus a chunky steak pie to heat up for dinner. These were all fabulous and generous country fare. 

The bakery is open seven days a week - from 7 am - 4 pm weekdays, 7 am - 2 pm Saturday and 8 am - 2 pm Sunday or public holidays. There is a bench seat in the shade at the front of the shop and a huge range of baked goodies inside.
