Hawks Head Lookout is located within Kalbarri National Park in Western Australia. We were travelling south from Shark Bay and were advised by fellow travellers to call in to visit Hawks Head and Ross Graham Lookouts on out way to Kalbarri. The road leading to these two viewing areas is about 30 kilometres from the North West Coastal Highway along Ajana-Kalbarri Road (the first entry into the National Park from this direction). There was plenty of space to park while towing the van and these lookouts have great facilities - toilets, shaded picnic tables and well maintained walking paths.
Hawks Head Lookout is about 200 metres return from the car parking area and the path allows wheelchair access. Great views over the Murchison River and I am sure one of the amazing rock formations looks like a Hawk's Head. There were still quite a few wildflowers along the roadway - many stops and lots of photos. This must be absolutely beautiful during the middle of the wildflower season.
