BIG4 Whiters Holiday Village - Lakes Entrance

The BIG4 Whiters Holiday Village can be found just one block from the lake on Roadknight Street, Lakes Entrance.  This is a welcoming, neat and tidy holiday park with a number of lovely features. It is also, walking distance to shops, cafes, clubs and of course the beach is just over the walk bridge.

This holiday village only has two powered caravan sites - and you will need to book. I must say, it is definitely worth the planning to stay on one of these large ensuite sites near the front entrance.  Our caravan has its own ensuite but it is super nice to be able to enjoy more space provided in these bathrooms. They have a good size bench either side of the hand-basin and large shower. The site even has its own clothes line attached to the side fence.

In the middle of this BIG4 park is a Rotunda - a fully enclosed building, great for meetings, family gatherings or weddings. The Rotunda has its own kitchen, bar area, fireplace and plenty of open space for tables and chairs - depending on the type of gathering you are planning.

Around the park are a variety of ensuite cabins, cottages and villas which make it perfect for large groups.  Everyone can stay in the same location. No need to drive after a party at the BIG4 Whiters Holiday Village.

Each form of accommodation has a parking space and clothes line - a laundry room is available near reception.  This building also contains a covered barbeque area, toilets as well as a designated fish cleaning facility - all clean and tidy. 

I understand the BIG4 Whiters Holiday Village is very popular during school holidays and they certainly have a range of great facilities - large pool area with two pools, an outdoor spa plus indoor spa, tennis court, basketball ring, children's playground, games room and a large TV room equipped with flat screen TV. A projector is mounted on the ceiling for movie nights.  

In one section of the park is a large sealed (cement) area which I understand can be ulitised for boat parking if space is available during holiday periods (check with management). 

The entrance to the park has a number of parking spaces to use while checking in plus a check in lane alongside the gardens in front of reception.  We really enjoyed out stay and were very please to see a variety of bird-life visiting the gardens.
