BIG4 Waters Edge Holiday Park - Lakes Entrance

We have stayed at the BIG4 Waters Edge Holiday Park on two separate occasions and would not hesitate to recommend it as a very clean and convenient place to stay in Lakes Entrance, Victoria.  On the latest visit we were warmly welcomed by Donna and allocated a large site at the rear of the park. This caravan park has several access roads - two from the Esplanade and three leading onto Roadknight Street at the rear.  Of course you will use the main entrance upon arrival and this is the only gate that remains open all night.  The others are closed at about 8 pm. 

BIG4 Waters Edge Holiday Park is within walking distance to shops, clubs, cafes, etc. and just across the road from the lake and a walking bridge which leads to the main beach.  The bridge also leads to a walking track for views of the entrance of this huge lake system - you will be surprised how narrow it is.

This is a relatively small park but very clean and tidy with a swimming pool, plus a very nicely equipped camp kitchen with SS benches, fridge, chairs, tables and gas cook tops.  Alongside the camp kitchen are several barbeques partly covered by shade sails that also cover the adjoining jumping pillow.  Next to this is a games room which will help  keep the children busy while you are preparing meals. A children’s playground is near reception at the front of the park which is fully fenced for safety.

Amenities are very clean – part of which is closed off outside busy periods. There are a number of clothes lines provided outside the laundry facility. This BIG4 even has a boat parking area set aside for guests who wish enjoy fishing and/or explore the amazing lake system.
