Yorketown Bakehouse

Yorketown is near the bottom of the Yorke Peninsula and situated on one of the main roads when travelling between coastal town on the east and west coasts.  We stopped at the Yorketown Bakehouse near the corner of Stansbury and Edithburgh Roads for morning tea.

What a lovely welcoming place to enjoy a cuppa. There are only a few tables inside and the place is extremely busy but the staff suggested that one couple was almost finished and if we were happy to wait a few minutes we could have their table. We enjoyed a lovely coffee and wonderful London Bun - we had not eaten a London Bun prior to this visit and it was absolutely delicious.

There are a range of products avaialbe in the same building - clothes shop, sports store, electrical appliances and diving gear – after all their signs does say “more than just a baker”.  This is definitely a great place to stop in Yorketown.
