Port Julia is a small community about 16 kilometres north of Port Vincent on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. There is a large bush camp near the community hall as you enter town - corner of Julia Road and Osbrey Street. The Reichenbach Memorial Park is a Bush Camping Reserve with large sites and basic facilities. The fees for staying overnight are very cheap (about $7) and these are collected daily.
The camping reserve has clean toilets, garbage bins and a covered seating area - bore water is available at the reserve and not suitable for drinking. The sites are sandy/gravel and suitable for self-contained vehicles - large enough for big rigs. It is within walking distance to the beach and this area is good for fishing, swimming and canoeing. I am not sure if there are any shops in this small community.
