Glendambo is a small community on the Stuart Highway in South Australia - about 250 kilometres south of Coober Pedy and 286 kilometres north of Port Augusta. We called in for a look around and a cold drink at the Glendambo Hotel. Picnic tables are provided under shade trees or or pop into the Roadhouse or Hotel for for a meal.
Glendambo has two service stations and a couple of pubs. The Glendambo pub is made of Tasmanian Cedar and surrounded by lovely big verandahs. There is plenty of space to pull off the road while towing a caravan and there are toilet facilities for travellers.
This is a convenient place to stop when travelling in outback South Australia.
