Nelly Bay is Magnetic Island’s main residential and the first point of access to the island, as both the passenger and car ferries terminate here. Most transport facilities, from bicycles to car hire, are available for collection near the terminal.

The ferry terminal for Magnetic Island is at Nelly Bay and this will be your first stop when travelling from Townsville. Here you will find car or bike hire facilities and it is a good place for swimming, snorkeling or a lovely morning walk. There is also a small supermarket and grog shop to get those essential supplies.
