The Malanda Hotel is a beautiful old timber building and quite a landmark in the centre of town. It is built from local timbers and is reported to be the largest wooden pub in Australia.
The Malanda Hotel is within walking distance of the Malanda Falls Caravan Park and we decided to treat ourselves to dinner. We had a pre-dinner drink at the long main bar and told the bartender that we were staying for dinner. She quickly booked a table for us in the dining room which was very busy.
The dining room is large and features Silky Oak floorboards and a beautiful timber staircase leading to hotel rooms on the second floor. The meal was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our Mothers Day Dinner at the Malanda Hotel.
