Malanda Dairy Centre is located on James Street and is a great place to head for a breakfast, lunch or morning tea. This is a licensed cafe, museum, gift shop and gallery all rolled into one. We looked around the museum showing the history of dairy farming in the area before joining a tour of the Dairy Farmers Milk Factory next door.
Our lunch at the Dairy Centre consisted of crumbed fish (coral trout) chips and salad as well as Moroccan Chicken couscous salad with locally made fetta and yoghurt dressing. Wonderful milkshakes (of course) and fresh juices, as well as a range of delicious icecream.
Within the Dairy Centre is a great photographic and art gallery featuring local artists. We found this a really interesting place to visit and I must say the staff were friendly and helpful.
