Seabreeze Take-Away and Convenience Store is located on Palmer Street, Karumba Point, Queensland. This shop stocks fruit, vegetables, groceries, camping gear, fishing tackle etc, as well as being a great take-away food outlet. It is located next to the Sunset Caravan Park and across the road from the boat ramp.
We were fascinated by the signs displayed around the shop and started talking to the owner - what he told us was a shock, about the behaviour of some people when visiting this store. Apparently he has seen people squeeze a loaf of bread to make sure it is fresh and then take two slices out of the centre to steal for their lunch. How low!!!
Another problem is the rudeness of some people to the young staff working at the store. His sign said it all - "No shirt, No shoes - No problem. No manners - No service”. I quite agree with this and felt very sorry for this shop owner who was a hard working local man.
We ordered crumbed Barramundi, salad and chips for lunch and ate at the shaded tables in front of the café before walking home - beautiful meal. We had friendly, helpful service and I will definitely go back to the Seabreeze Take-away and Convenience Store. I like to support local shop owners - not rip them off.
