While staying at Tewantin near Noosa we took the opportunity to visit the Eumundi markets. These are huge markets held every Wednesday and Saturday - no matter what the weather is doing. Loads of home made products and very interesting clothing, eg. shorts made from a beach towel.
There are about 500 stalls at these markets selling a range of products - organic local produce, artworks, sculptures, and furniture, handmade toys, homewares, skincare, cutting edge fashion, jewellery by local designer, plants and flowers, plus food stalls. The Eumundi Markets also has a range of street performers and children's activities like face painting. There are buses that run from several accommodation places at the Sunshine Coast if you happen to be holidaying without a car.
I would highly recommend you visit these markets - they are quite fascinating and very popular.
