Murrumbateman is a small village located about 30 kilometres from the ACT along the Barton Highway. This is very popular with Canberra residents on weekends as it is surrounded by wineries and outlets featuring local produce.
You will find a service station and convenience store in Murrumbateman as well as a lovely parkland to sit and enjoy a picnic lunch under the shade of beautiful trees. Toilets are located at the rear of the park and you will often see horses grazing in the adjoining properties. They were in the process of upgrading the access road to Murrumbateman which is good news when you see the amount of traffic that passes this small community.
