Sheba Dams are found just out of Hanging Rock near Nundle in NSW and about 70 kilometres from Tamworth. These dams were originally created to supply water to the gold mines - build in the 1880s - an engineering feat.

These dams are are good for fishing or swimming in the clear mountain and a number of people were camping around the water’s edge. There are toilet facilities and covered picnic tables -  plenty of space for a peaceful weekend away from it all.
