We stopped at Brunswick Heads for a look around and were pleasantly surprised. This is a lovely coastal village on the NSW north coast at the mouth of the Brunswick River and only about 15 minutes north of Byron Bay. There are a number of beaches to choose from for a surf or swim - maybe just lie on the beautiful white sand - a very popular spot for fishing and water sports.
There a numerous accommodation options including three caravan parks, motels, holiday houses and apartments. A large range of eating places with several cafes and restaurants providing al fresco dining overlooking the river and parks - something for every budget. The Fishermen's Co-op sells fresh seafood as well as takeaway fish and chips - yum. This is relaxed holiday destination which is very busy during school holidays.
