Isisford and Blackall are small towns in outback Queensland. We decided to drive along the Isisford Blackall Road on our way to Longreach. The road between Blackall and Isisford is two lanes wide but very bumpy - it is what some caravan travellers would call a toilet paper road where all the toilet paper unravels from the holder in the caravan. The car and van were tossed all over the place.
This was a very picturesque drive in September 2016 after the area had received quite a bit of rain. The countryside was lush and there were numerous flowers blooming along the side of the road. Do not think I will be rushing to drive this road again.
