Barcoo River Camp has been provided by the town of Blackall and is located beside the Billabong Creek - part of the Barcoo River. There is a fee of $10 charged to stay here for the night and this should be paid at the Blackall Visitor Information Centre - a maximum of three nights is allowed. There are no toilets or showers at the Barcoo River Camp - you are able to use the public facilities on the main street (they looked quite clean). This is an open area and looked quite dusty when we travelled through town - it does offer some shaded spots. It looks as though it can easily cater for rigs of all sizes so this river camp would be a good option for large motor homes and 5th wheelers.
