The Shell Block Quarry can be found near the Hamelin Pool Telegraph Station - turn onto Hamelin Pool Road about 100 kilometres east of Denham, Shark Bay in Western Australia.
You can see how the shells cemented together by the rain to form a product to be cut into natural building block used in the local area. One example of a building that used these blocks in Denham is the Old Pearler Restaurant on the corner of Knight Terrace and Durlacher Street in the centre of town. The blocks are no longer used for building material but are occasionally cut to restore so some of the old shell block constructions. I have never seen anything like this before so I definitely think it is worth a visit when in the area.
