Gladstone Scenic Lookout is located on the North West Coastal Highway between Carnarvon and the Overlander Roadhouse in Western Australia. The Overlander Roadhouse is at the intersection of the North West Coastal Highway and the Denham Hamelin Road which is the only access to Denham and Monkey Mia in Shark Bay.
Gladstone Scenic Lookout is about 30 kilometres north of the turnoff to Denham and is surround by very flat land - you are able to see Shark Bay from various viewing places around the Lookout. There was plenty of room to pull over when towing the van and we could easily get back onto the highway to continue the journey south. As you can see from the photos this is a very dry part of Western Australia and therefore hardly any trees.
