Turtle Kayak Marine Eco Adventure - Broome

Turtle Kayak Marine Eco Adventure tours are run by the Broome Adventure Company in Western Australia. We decided to take our daughter on one of these tours while visiting Broome and were picked up from our accommodation at 9 am. All equipment is supplied including waterproof bags to protect your gear while on the Kayak. The timing of your experience on this Kayak adventure will be dictated by Broome's tidal range.  

Our tour began at low tide and we launched the Kayaks from Port Beach before heading around into Roebuck Bay. There were about 20 people on our tour and we had two guides - both friendly and helpful. We paddled past mangroves and our guides spotted fish, migratory birds and pointed out some red rock formations on the shore. We stopped at the beach for morning tea (dips, biscuits and cold drink) and explored some of the rock pools.

After morning tea we headed back out into Roebuck Bay to return to a boat ramp near the port - on the way we saw a turtle in the water which was very exciting. Turtle Kayak Marine Eco Adventures will then drop you back to your accommodation - this tour lasts for about three hours.
