BIG4 Dandenong Tourist Park is the perfect park to come and visit while on holidays. We are central to many different tourist attractions, such as the Dandenong Ranges, Mornington Peninsula, Phillip Island, and only a 45 minute drive to Melbourne itself. We have many different types of accommodation suitable for families, campers and caravanners.

While travelling around Victoria we chose the BIG4 Dandenong Tourist Park as a convenient location to attend a few meetings we had arranged in and around Melbourne. This is a relatively small park that can be found on the Dandenong-Frankston Road and conveniently located near the Jayco Factory for those traveller's wishing to take a tour.
The park entrance is via a set of traffic lights with a dedicated turning lane from the main road which, we found especially useful when trying to get back into traffic while towing a caravan. The park is surrounded by open land which makes it feel like you are in the country – not the middle of a city.
On arrival, we were allocated a powered caravan site, backing onto an open paddock. We immediately felt relaxed, not being hemmed into a tight spot. The park also has many large shade trees. Sites are very comfortable and easy to access.
This park has two amenities blocks, a laundry, camp kitchen with barbeque facilitates plus a small enclosed children's playground. Mary, the park manager, has a large number of brochures at reception and is happy to supply information on courtesy buses to the local clubs.
We found Mary and her team to be extremely helpful. During our stay we booked into a cabin for a few nights so we could drop our van off for servicing. Mary made the transition exceptionally easy, allowing us early access to the cabin to move food items to the fridge/freezer.
We rented a 3 bedroom cabin near reception and the camp kitchen. The cabin was relatively new, very clean and tidy, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. This cabin has a toilet separate to the bathroom with an additional hand basin – great when staying with the family. The second and third bedrooms have double bunks with a small wardrobe and shelf. There was a huge L-shaped lounge to accommodate guests and a dining table inside, and on the verandah. All cabins sit neatly in a row, surrounded by well manicured gardens.
We would not hesitate to return for another enjoyable stay with Mary and the team at the BIG4 Dandenong Tourist Park.
