Tavern on Turton - Point Turton

While staying at the Point Turton Caravan Park on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, we took the short stroll up the hill to enjoy a drink at the well known Tavern on Turton. This tavern has a very good reputation and is set in a great location overlooking Hardwicke Bay, Flaherty's Beach and Spencer Gulf. The tavern seemed to be very popular with locals and visitors and even has a children's playroom.

Tavern on Turton is open 7 days a week with indoor and outdoor seating and a very good menu offering beautiful local seafood. We felt welcome as soon as we walked into the tavern after a warm greeting from the person behind the bar. What a lovely spot to sit and enjoy a cold drink and/or a beautiful meal. There is a drive through bottle shop and plenty of parking beside the building.
