SS Ellen Park - Lyrup

SS Ellen Park is located on the banks of the Murray River in the small village of Lyrup. Lyrup is located between Renmark and Berri in South Australia - access to the community from Renmark is via a 24 hour ferry service across the Murray.

SS Ellen Park is a lovely shaded area that allows free camping in self contained caravans and motor-homes for a period of up to 72 hours (no tents allowed at this location). The parkland is right next to the river and a boat ramp located nearby allows access to the water. This is a great spot for fishing and boating on a peaceful quiet section of the river. The surrounding parkland has toilet facilities, picnic tables, children's playground and large open grassed areas.

Lyrup is only a short walk from the park with a general store (fuel, groceries, post office), rural fire station and the Lyrup Club. What a lovely place for a relaxing holiday.
