BIG4 Townsville Woodlands Holiday Park - Cabins

The BIG4 Woodland Holiday Park is located at 548 Bruce Highway, Deeragun on the northern outskirts of Townsville. Unfortunately at the moment there are road works taking place along the highway outside the park which creates a fair bit of dust and makes access a little difficult. Keep an eye on the signs as our GPS was not updated with correct directions.

This park has two pools – a small one near the cabins at the front entrance. A larger resort style pool at the back of the park in an area that houses a water park for small children, great play children's play area with large chess set and connect 4, mini golf and jumping pillow. Solar panels are also located in an area along the highway side of the park.

The two bedroom Villas have a two way bathroom with a small living area, verandah and shaded car parking space. These are fully self-contained with a queen bed, two bunk beds and a trundle, plus a well equipped kitchen. These appear to be quite good for a family holiday.

The studio type cabins are located near the pool and barbeque area at the front of the park. These are open plan with queen bed and bunk beds, with kitchen  all in the one room, plus an ensuite. They are older buildings but clean and tidy.

The BIG4 Woodlands Holiday Park has plenty of ensuite sites and some permanent vans.  The amenities at the rear of the park are located close to powered, un-powered caravan and camping sites with plenty of shade. This park was not looking its best during our visit due to water restrictions in the Townsville area but there are plenty of palms and trees providing shade.
