Shute Harbour is about ten kilometres east of Airlie Beach and a great place to go for a spot of sightseeing. This is one of the boarding points for ferries to the islands and has moorings available for private boats. Secure parking facilities are available for cars, boat trailers, caravans and campervans - while cruising around the Whitsunday Islands.

There are stunning views of the harbour from Coral Point and the headland. Several bush walking trails that head in the the national parks from Shute Harbour - remember to take a camera. We had a lovely time exploring this area and took some great photos.

Whilst visiting Airlie Beach we did a kayaking tour at Shute harbour. The paddle was nice and easy as the water is fairly sheltered. We went out to Shute Island (I think) and had a relax on the beach and a snorkel. It was fun paddling around the reef and I would highly recommend the experience.
