Rollingstone Beach Front Resort - Cabins

Rollingstone Beach Front Resort is a huge BIG4 park on the Queensland coast, just north of Townsville. This park sits on a 1 kilometre stretch of coastline accessed from the Bruce Highway along Hencamp Creek Road - north of the township of Rollingstone. We were given access to four beautiful cabins at Rollingstone Beach Resort and all were very well equipped for a great holiday.

This is what we saw:

• Oceanview Studio Cabin called "Ruby Tuesday". Very nice and quite new featuring open plan living with a separate bathroom. These have a lovely covered verandah with views to the ocean, of course.
• Two bedroom ocean view cabin called "Start Me Up". Double bunks in one room and a queen bed in the other. Lovely living areas and a covered verandah with barbeque.
• Waterfront villa – called "Some Girls". Large and well equipped curved kitchen bench, dishwasher, two double bedrooms, ensuite, three-way bathroom, two double bunks. These are lovely with everything you need for the family.
• Waterfront Villa – called "Jack Flash" – main bedroom opens onto living room, and a large Spa bathroom - you can overlook pool when blinds are open. Dishwasher, separate toilet and a roll up cupboard hiding the washing machine and dryer.  

Most of the cabins are fairly new and each has its own parking space. All well equipped and close to the ocean. Very clean and tidy. I guess they are given names so that you can easily find your accommodation in this very large park.

The Rollingstone Beachfront Resort has a large pool area with lots of shade, a licensed bar and cafe, large screen for movies, big sites, several amenities blocks, jumping pillow etc. The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay on a large caravan site that was big enough to stay hooked up overnight.
