Croydon is a lovely, historical town on the Gulf Development Road in the top part of Queensland. We stopped at Croydon for lunch while travelling from Karumba to Georgetown on our caravan adventure. Anzac Park is in the middle of town and there are beautiful shady trees and picnic tables. This is located opposite the Visitor Information Centre with plenty of room to pull off the road with the caravan.
Croydon Caravan Park is also in the centre of town which is small but looks welcoming with plenty of shade and walking distance to the supermarket, café, post office, and the Croydon Club Hotel. The Croydon Caravan Park is also located on the heritage walking trail for a closer look at all the historical buildings. On our next trip I would like to stay overnight in Croydon to have a better look around.
