Cardwell - Visitor Information

Along the main road as you drive through Cardwell in Northern Queensland you will find the Rainforest and Reef Visitor Information Centre. This is an eco tourism facility that not only provides tourist information but also has displays and informatin about environmental issue in Cardwell and the surrounding region.

A gold coin donation is requested for a wander through the interactive displays on local wildlife including the unique Dugong. Very interesting and well worth the visit. Of course the Information Centre can also help with tours, accommodation and has a children's corner to keep the kids busy while you gather information on the area. 

Outside is a lovely covered playground in front of the public toilets and beside a basketball court with seating in the shade.
