Buderim is about 38 kilometres from Noosa Heads on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. Buderim has a population of about 30,000 and is growing fast - I think due to the great weather and pleasant lifestyle as well as being just minutes away from the beaches of this beautiful section of Australian coastline.
Buderim Mountain is volcanic in origin, covered with rich red soil, and is about 200 metres above sea level, therefore a very rich farming area - sugar cane, bananas, citrus, coffee, and of course, ginger. Buderim Ginger is well known throughout Australia and it is a great experience to visit their factory in Yandina - just to the north.
