It was an absolutely amazing day when we visited Forster Beach at Scotts Head on the mid north coast of NSW. There was hardly any breeze and the sun was shining on this beautiful part of the coast just south of Macksville.
The park near the beach is very shady with lots of picnic tables and barbeque facilities. I was fascinated with the beautiful mosaics around public toilet, then a short walk past the Surf Life Saving Club you will find more mosaics decorating a table and chair setting.
Just past the club are stairs leading to the viewing platform overlooking Forster Beach and out to sea. What a great spot to sit and watch the ocean – we even saw a turtle swimming close to shore.
The waves were perfect and there were a number of people SUPing, surfing, swimming and walking at this idyllic location.
